This week has been a busy one in the fight for a better media. Former Commissioner Copps called on the Obama administration to keep its promises and defend the public interest. Bill Moyers interviewed Michael Copps on how a big media dumbs down democracy. Thousands of you participated in the National Day of Action – and won some breathing room on the FCC’s nonsensical plan to give the LA Times to Rupert Murdoch.
Now it’s time to tell the FCC that delaying a bad rule is not enough. Join us and our friends at Free Press and sign the petition to prevent further media consolidation, then tell your friends to do the same on Twitter with the hashtag #StoptheFCC.
We’ve got them on the ropes – now let’s demand some real reform!
