Manhattans elite 10021 (upper east side) zipcode frequently tops campaign contributions on a city, state and federal level.  In the 2004 Federal election 10021 gave the most of any zip code in the nation with $4.2, more than TWICE the next highest zip code (10024, Upper West Side) at $1.8 million.

10021 also donates the most money to the state and city elections.

The homeowners who pay top dollar to have a river view don't want it ruined by a plane crashing into their balcony.  I'm gonna bet the Pols will come down in favor of airspace restrictions.
