Kick Off in Minnesota

Common Cause Minnesota spent an exciting summer recruiting our board members, establishing our local office, and contacting legislative candidates to learn about their views on issues that matter most to our members. In fact, over the last six months we have built a solid foundation for our state chapter. We were thrilled to have Common Cause President Bob Edgar visit Minnesota in June as we kicked off our foundation-building summer. Please view Bob's message to Common Cause supporters here -

For the last 150 years, Minnesota has enjoyed a strong reputation for being a good government, reform-minded state. This tradition has deep roots. Yet, we cannot rest on our laurels; serious threats to the strength of our democracy persist - threats that could significantly tarnish Minnesota's reputation as a good government state. Over the next year, we plan to build a grassroots movement that allows citizens to have better access to their government and shines a bright light on how that government operates. Change is a popular term this election season. However, change does not just happen; we have to make the change that we want to see. Please consider making a generous contribution to Common Cause Minnesota so that we can fight to protect the things we all care about.
