Thank you to everyone who voted in our poll or left a suggestion for where to place our "No More Media Consolidation" ad after it was rejected by MySpace. There were many, many good suggestions and we'll definitely be using them in future campaigns.

The top two vote-getters in the poll were Huffington Post and WashingtonPost.com. We can get much more bang for our buck at Huffington Post, so that's where we'll try to place the ad next.

Lots of folks are posting the ad on their own MySpace / FaceBook / LiveJournal / etc. pages. Thanks, and keep forwarding it on to your friends. We can win this fight!

With just one week left to send messages to the FCC about media ownership, we thought we'd try to reach out to the next generation of media activists by posting an ad on MySpace.

But they said 'no'.

MySpace told us that they "won't allow that to be shown."

And that's exactly the problem: Big Media (MySpace was bought by NewsCorp in 2005) has too much control over what the public hears, sees and watches.

We still have time to get the word out -- if we act fast. Tell us where you think we should be advertising. Vote in the poll or leave a comment.
